The Furches family business originally began in produce and Red was a produce broker and grower until the mid 80's. Red's son, Ken, joined the family business in the early 70s and started greenery business in 1975. In 1979, Red's youngest son, Dwight, joined the family business. They began growing shrubbery and Christmas trees in the early 80's.
After Red's death in 1999, Ken and Dwight, along with their wives, continued the business as partners and added a retail greenhouse in 2010. Upon Ken's retirement in 2014, Dwight's son, Daniel, became a partner in the business.
In the spring of 2017 after much prayer, the decision was made to sell the Greenery and Christmas Tree business and focus on the Greenhouse. Today, Red's Home & Garden is owned and managed by Dwight and wife, Jeana, and their son Daniel and his wife, Morgan.
